Illényi Katica has begun the 2016 year with a concert together with the Budapest String Chamber Orchestra in the Ballroom of the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest. The recorded performances, which you can find on the CD and on the DVD, will guarantee enjoyment, humor and wonderful musical instruments like violin and theremin.
The atmosphere was very similar to the Viennese New Year’s concert. In addition to the popular repertoire compilation of works by Hungarian composers, international composers’ work was also added. On the album, there are songs like Bubamara from the Black Cat, White Cat movie, which is played on violin or the Only you song which is played on theremin. The outstanding works of classical music can also be found on the album, such as J. S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor, which is an unique performance in the world because Katica Illényi is singing. The CD and the DVD give another proof that the music – which is granted to everyone, regardless of genre – can fill for the entire year with fun, good humor and positive thinking.
